About the CD Rom

The CD-ROM that accompanies the print edition of Scott-Brown is a fully-searchable reference resource with the same content as the print edition. It has been developed to help you to make the most of the vast amount of information available in Scott-Brown: you can use it to browse through the contents of each part of the book, or to search across as much or as little of the content as you like using the customisable search function.

Each chapter is clearly laid out, with hyperlinks to accompanying figures and references. Useful navigational tools include an easily accessible table of contents, a list of figures, and a list of abbreviations and an evidence-scoring key available from every screen for quick reference. Chapter references are linked to Pub Med, providing trainee surgeons (ENT and Head and Neck), audiologists and ENT physicians with quick access to relevant information about clinical conditions, and a starting point for further research.

Further invaluable features include the ability to annotate and bookmark sections of interest and to save favourite searches, the facility to print chapter sections and figures, and to export figures for use in presentations. There is also a comprehensive ‘Help’ section.
